Description

The wind was pretty intense on Fourth recess lake, in the Mono creek drainage. Then it stopped, and all was still.
Two sisters, from opposite sides of the Sierra, sat on the edge of the lake, catching up with each others lives.
The sunset on this ridge was wonderful, but I did not leave when it was over! I had seen this from a distance on the previous two nights. The white granite picked up the light from the sky, and glowed against the dark blue. The waterfall on the far side provided white noise, but there was no other sound.
