Mount Herlan rises steeply above Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe. Here, it gets the very last of the alpenglow for the day, and the incredible mirror makes a reflection- but we can also see rocks under the water! Lake Tahoe is always clear, but it is best in late Winter, when the algae is not growing!
